Wish Upon a Wedding
Wish Upon a Wedding is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. It’s the first wedding-focused charity that works to provide weddings and vow renewals to couples facing terminal illnesses and other life-threatening situations.
I think all of us (and especially those who are married or are currently planning a wedding) can empathize with this cause.
Especially when you put a face to the cause.
She graduated from my high school and was a recent recipient of a Wish. She suffered from end-stage cystic fibrosis. On September 1, 2010 she married the love of her life, courtesy of Wish Upon a Wedding. She passed away less than 30 days later.
Without an organization like Wish Upon a Wedding, Dani would not have been able to have the dream wedding she deserved. It’s stories like these that remind me what truly matters–love.
